What if the world of Fairy Tales is OUR world? Everyday Epic will explore fairy tales, folklore, campfire stories, and other ways that we use stories to make sense of our experiences. I think that we often frame the things that happen to us in terms that diminish their significance. Everyday Epic is an exercise in using traditional ways of recounting stories as a way to give them a place in the epic, always happening story of this world. This first issue contains two original stories by myself and a story from Hans Christian Andersen (public domain) that served as a model for one, as well as some suggestions for other writers.
